Yay... I have selected these few that I like.

This shall be the one for the canvas.

We managed to snap this while Ying Heng is entertaining himself with the bells.

Ying Heng liked this fountain a lot. He was wet through after that.

A summary of my life so far....

If you are reading this post, I must say you are the greatest follower on my blog. It has been 3.. 4... probably 5 weeks or more since I have last posted anything. So I must say a big THANK YOU to you.
It has been a busy period for me both at work and personal life. So many things happened! People came into my life... more work... pay freeze.. blah blah blah. Of course, this is a double edged sword. Some incidents can make you happy and unhappy at the same time. I learnt to be understanding and less selfish. I learnt that others could suffer as a result of my selfish act.
Pay freeze is something that has taken me by surprise. No prior 'hints'! Darn... there goes my dream watch, which I planned to get with my increment. I can't imagine having pay freeze for 2 consecutive years!
In any case, life still goes on. Ying Heng is starting to walk. Looking at him wobbling brings smile to my face. I think his legs are strong enough.. he just lacks a bit of confidence. This is fine... i'll let him set his pace in learning as long as he is happy. Ying Heng is awake... signing off now.

Yes and No

My first blog since moving from wordpress.com.

Ying Heng is learning new things everyday. The recent skill that he has acquired is to nod his head and shake his head to tell if he wants or does not want something.

It's kind of funny to see how he nods his head so vigorously. It's like he is moving his body back and forth to accomplish that action. Cannot imagine ah? Think about the movement when you are sitting on a rocking chair.

I found that babies in general has difficulty shaking their heads as compared to nodding. Dunno why also... And the action is not so clear-cut leh, looks like he is searching something on the floor rather than shaking his head lor...

Added a clip that I took with my phone. Sorry that it is not upright as I'm still not used to the phone. :P

I'm looking forward to see what is the next thing he picks up.

Interesting article: How can I help my toddler learn to talk?

I came across this article while browsing the BabyCenter forum.

First of all, you need to talk as much as you can directly to your baby. The best is to make these conversations just between the two of you. This will reduce the possibility of distractions and your baby will get the best out of these sessions. Look at him while you talk. Let him see your face and your gestures.

Show your baby what you mean, by matching what you do to what you say. For example, "Take off your shirt", you say, taking the shirt off over his/her head.

You have to show enthusiasm, emotion and emphasis. These are qualities that will catch his/her attention and encourage him to try to comprehend what you are saying.
Give the above a try... I will and hope you find this useful too.... ;p

Baby's Constipation

The nightmare is back… YH is having hard stool again As a matter of fact, his stool can be used as stones. This has been the case for the past few weeks. If we don’t solve this soon, he would have phobia poo-ing… *sigh*

Today I decided to do some surfing for information on how to tackle this issue. Some of the findings are:
  • Prune Puree
  • Prune Juice
  • Apple Juice
  • Pear (this has to stop once the constipation goes away as this can be 凉 for the baby)
  • More vegetables and less meat in diet

After work, I went down to Giant and got the Prune Puree and Apple with Prune juice. Hope this would do the trick or else we need to look into the formula. We are doubting the change from Similac to Gain IQ is the root cause because he has been having this problem intermittently. Shall see how things go… *crossing my fingers*

Paris. What can you visit?

I got this list from a friend of mine who has in turn, got this list from a travel book some time back.

Arc de Triomphe: Must go. Never tell others you have been to Paris without visiting this.

Champs Elysees: Recommended to walk from Lourve to Arc de Triomphe through Champs Elysees. You can stop by the LV building and Adidas.

La Conciergerie: Optional stop.

Tour Eiffel: Again, must go! Try to plan for this at night.

Lourve: Da Vinci Code... Mona Lisa.... I think there is one weekend where all museums are free to enter. Try to check this out!

Notre Dame: Gothic feeling. It's a must go!

Sacre Coeur: I was told the view is good and there are good souvenir shops around. Moulin Rouge theater is nearby too.
